Thank you sir! I’m glad you like it. Despite your nice offer to pay, I don’t think I have time to make you one right now. Mine took a LOT of tweaking in Photoshop. I’m not great at drawing pixel art from scratch so I pieced together my likeness using the mugshots of Whitney, Morty, and Misty from Pokemon HGSS (see The Spriter’s Resource). I created the title using the free fonts Notalot35 and 8 Bit Party. I added the outline, shadows, and highlights to “AXON-AXOFF” by hand. Likewise for all of the pixelated halftone. The background is a crop/recolor of cutscene imagery from some DS game (I can’t remember which one, but again, check out The Spriter’s Resource). I toned down the bright colors and lent the image a retro Gameboy look with a beige multiply layer on top of everything. HTH!
fairy types
(1) I just KNEW that someone would delete my original caption (“Pokemon that I think could be retconned to Fairy type.”) and then the reblogs would blow up with people thinking these are actually fairy types now.
(2) I accidentally uploaded a version without Marill first and that’s the one that everyone reblogged (notice the weird space in between Blissey/Wigglytuff/Clefable/Chansey).
(3) Is it really that silly that I included Dunsparce? He has little wings!

Talonflame!
Its name is dumb but I LOVE this design!
If its legs were longer I’d guess it was based on a secretarybird (whose primary method of hunting/defense is kicking).

Is it really necessary for a Pokeball to double in size before letting the Pokemon out? Does it make it that much easier for the 47-foot-long Wailord or 1-ton Snorlax to squeeze out of it?

A student sits on my lap and shows me her Pokemon cards (and reads the names and attacks of every single one).
I love these little dudes even though they were so annoying to encounter in Pokemon R/S/E—they were too inexplicably defense-heavy to OHKO without a ground-type move, yet they were not useful enough to catch and use on your team (they were basically a gimmick pair meant to showcase the move Helping Hand). The same can be said of Pachirisu in Gen IV. SO DURN CUTE, THOUGH.
Generation six of Pokemon already?!
Preeetttttttyyyyy excited, not gonna lie! I don’t want to have to buy a 3DS, though.
